Golf Memberships

Membership Types

Caloosa Golf and Country Club was established in 1979 as a private, member-owned, non-profit corporation to promote golf recreational facilities and support social activities for its retired members.

General Memberships are offered to couples and individuals who are residents of Sun City Center and to a limited number of non-residents from surrounding communities who are at least 50 years old. Cart storage for non-resident members is available at a nominal fee.

Trial Memberships are offered to undecided prospective members. All golf privileges apply except that Trial Members are excluded from competing in the club's major tournaments; however, all other regularly scheduled tournaments can be played. This membership category provides an opportunity to discover the value of Caloosa as the foremost golf club in the area.

  • Tournaments conducted by the Club involve all members who sign up to play. Pairings for tournaments utilize the GHIN Tournament Pairing Program. A computer workstation is located in the clubroom where tournament managers can create pairings for regular and special tournaments. Scorecards for the tournament can also printed.
  • There are active golf associations and groups for men and women to cover the interests of both 9-hole and 18-hole players. At Caloosa, there is a level of play to suit beginners and accomplished golfers alike.

A professional Greens Superintenant, supported by a skilled maintenance staff, is employed by the Club to manage the sophisticated sprinkler regimes, chemical applications, seeding, and mowing operations to keep the course in superb playing condition throughout the year.
